Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 September 2026
1. About us
This website and online store are operated by Acksen Ltd under the SolAngular brand. Acksen Ltd is a private limited company registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI019167.
Registered office: 5 Sequoia Heights, Jordanstown, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, BT37 0QX, United Kingdom.
Email: sales@solangular.com. Telephone: +44 (0)79 0185 4525.
In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Acksen Ltd, trading as SolAngular. “You” means the person or business using the website or placing an order.
2. These Terms
These Terms apply to use of this website and to orders placed through it. Our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy also apply. Please read those policies before ordering.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including statutory rights available to consumers.
3. Products and product information
We take reasonable care to describe and photograph products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary slightly because of display settings, lighting and normal manufacturing tolerances. Product dimensions and weights described as approximate are estimates.
Customers are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for their intended installation. SolAngular mounting components must be installed on a suitable structure using appropriate fixings and in accordance with the supplied instructions. If you are unsure about structural suitability, electrical safety or installation, obtain advice from a suitably qualified professional. This responsibility does not limit our obligations where goods are defective, unsafe, misdescribed, not fit for their ordinary purpose, or not fit for a particular purpose that the customer made known to us and reasonably relied on us to assess.
4. Prices, VAT and delivery charges
The price payable is the price displayed for the customer’s selected market when the order is placed. Prices include VAT where the product or checkout page states that VAT is included. Delivery charges and any other applicable charges are shown before the order is submitted.
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom or European Union, import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees or other destination-country charges may apply unless we expressly state that they are included. Further information is provided in our Shipping Policy.
5. Placing and accepting an order
Submitting an order is an offer to buy the products in the order. We will send an order acknowledgement after submission. A binding contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if, for example, a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, delivery is not available to the address supplied, a pricing or description error is identified, or the order appears unlawful or fraudulent. If payment has already been taken for an order we do not accept, it will be refunded.
6. Payment
Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Customers must provide complete and accurate billing and payment information and must be authorised to use the selected payment method.
Payment services may be provided by Shopify or another payment provider. Those providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices.
7. Delivery
Available delivery services, charges and estimates are shown at checkout and explained in our Shipping Policy. Unless a specific delivery date has expressly been agreed, delivery dates are estimates.
For consumer orders, risk of loss or damage remains with Acksen Ltd until the goods are physically received by the customer or by a person identified by the customer to take possession of them. If the customer expressly requests delivery to a nominated safe place, we may follow that instruction, but nothing in these Terms transfers risk earlier than applicable law permits. If a consumer independently appoints a carrier that we did not offer, risk may pass when the goods are handed to that carrier.
Business customers should contact us before ordering if they require different delivery or risk arrangements.
8. Cancellations, returns and faulty goods
Cancellation, return, refund, repair and replacement rights are described in our Return and Refund Policy. Consumers purchasing online normally have a right to notify us that they wish to cancel an eligible order within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable exceptions. After notifying cancellation, the consumer must normally return the goods within a further 14 days.
Customers must take reasonable care of goods while deciding whether to keep them. We may make a lawful deduction where handling has reduced the value of returned goods beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop.
Customers must pay the direct cost of a change-of-mind return where this was explained before purchase. Acksen Ltd will arrange collection or reimburse reasonable and necessary return costs for faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods where required by law.
Consumers normally have a 30-day short-term right to reject non-conforming goods. Where repair or replacement is chosen or required, it must be provided at no cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. If repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, unsuccessful after one attempt, or not provided within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, the consumer may be entitled to a price reduction or the final right to reject.
Nothing in these Terms or the Return and Refund Policy affects statutory rights relating to faulty, unsafe, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods.
9. Availability and changes
Products may be withdrawn or changed without notice. A change made after an order has been accepted will not alter that contract unless the customer agrees or the change is required by law and does not materially disadvantage the customer.
10. Website use
Customers must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation or use its content unlawfully. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, customers or our business.
11. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website’s text, branding, graphics, photographs, documentation and other content are owned by or licensed to Acksen Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Content may not be copied, modified, distributed or used commercially without our permission except where permitted by law.
Third-party trade marks and content remain the property of their respective owners.
12. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
For consumers, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses suffered by a consumer.
For business customers, any additional limitations or requirements should be agreed in writing before ordering where necessary.
13. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of a delay and will contact affected customers where the delay is significant. Customers retain any cancellation rights provided by law.
14. Personal information
We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. The store is hosted by Shopify, which processes information needed to provide the storefront, checkout and related services.
15. Third-party links and services
The website may link to third-party websites or use third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content or services that are outside our control. This does not reduce our responsibility for products purchased directly from Acksen Ltd through the SolAngular store.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and contracts made through this store are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
If you are a consumer, this does not remove any mandatory protection provided by the law of the country in which you live, and you may have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a business, the courts of Northern Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction unless we agree otherwise in writing.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the law, our products, our services or the operation of the website. The Terms applying to an order are those published when the order is placed, unless a change is required by law.
18. Contact and complaints
Questions or complaints can be sent to sales@solangular.com or to Acksen Ltd at the registered-office address above. Please include an order number where applicable. We will try to acknowledge customer-service enquiries promptly during our normal business hours.
